About Pamela —
a Connector and Catalyst for Positive Change

Pamela has been heard to say, “It isn’t the conversations you have that go badly that should concern you. It is the conversations you DON’T have that eat your lunch.”
Her interest in people and the dynamics between people comes naturally, having been raised by an Episcopal minister and psychologist in Wyoming. Pamela left the country for the big city of Portland, Oregon where she earned a Bachelor of Arts at Lewis and Clark College.
After spending her early years in education followed by newspaper, radio and TV in the Pacific Northwest, Pamela moved to San Diego and in 1987 received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Diego. Today she gives back to her Alma Mater and students by mentoring MBA students at USD.
Since 1999 Pamela has been a distributor of Harrison Assessments, and today is an Expert Level Accredited Master Distributor of Harrison Assessments Talent Solutions, which is a research-validated “Software as a Service,” providing recruitment automation, employee development, team development and succession planning. It is predictive, comprehensive, and offers research-based performance results — validated data.
Although Pamela is a well-known professional speaker and trainer, she eventually realized that her passion was not in being the focus of attention but in supporting others to shine. Having worked with the Harrison Assessment since 1999 in her executive coaching practice, and then in bringing this level of sophisticated analysis to hiring and developing individuals, she now focuses her time and attention on the power of the Harrison Assessment to raise the bar on hiring and performance.
Today Pamela Stambaugh, Founder and President of Accountability Pays since 1986 (which is 25 years), serves as a senior advisor to business leaders desiring to transform their leadership conversations at the executive team level using the Harrison Assessments Talent Solutions. Although she has been brought in to facilitate strategic interventions and ongoing facilitation of organizational strategies for improved performance, today she partners with experts in innovation, strategic execution and generating inspired workforces. Her contribution is the hard data applied to the people issues, and helping use that data for team building, succession planning, individual development and recruiting “A” Players.
Pamela holds an MBA from the University of San Diego. She has worked globally with senior executives including as a TEC/Vistage chair in San Diego for 5 years. Pamela has co-authored two business books.
She is currently the Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum in San Diego and a member of San Diego Rotary Club 33. Pamela is also a member of the Association for Strategic Planning (prior board member) (ASP), the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the Association for Corporate Growth (prior board member) (ACG).
